The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Verna Roxburgh can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Condolence: We send our Love and Sympathy to Verna's family. Verna was indeed a very caring & thoughtful person. When we would meet Verna always enjoyed hearing how the Ireland family was, and news from Mansfield...nice memories. God Bless Verna. Sincerely, John & Isabel Ireland.

Condolence From: Linda Andy Sedore and Family
Condolence: So many wonderful memories shared with Aunt Verna and Carl - and I was always in awe of her strength of character. She weathered many losses with grace. Being so independent it was a struggle for her to be in a nursing home.. When I visited her I would always say as I was leaving - now try and behave... just to hear that laugh she had!! She is now with her loved ones who went before her.

Condolence: Many years ago, Verna became friends with my mother, Jean Porter Lucado, and us through St. John's United, and we shared many celebrations and meals with her, during those times. For a wee while, we even shared an address, and I always loved her quiet, sweet friendliness. She had a delightful laugh that never failed to light up the conversation, and she had a quiet determination that saw her through the bumps in the road of life. Although she will be missed, her spirit will remain as a great example of a long life well-lived.

Condolence: Aunt Verna and her family - husband Elgin and son Carl - were always close friends to my parents and to us. She was big sister and confidant to all her siblings - being oldest child helped, but it was in her nature too. She will be missed but not forgotten.
