Obituary for John L. ""Bud"" Gumbrill

John L. ""Bud"" Gumbrill
John L. Gumbrill

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of John L. Gumbrill, affectionally known as “Bud” or “His Nibs” on Friday, July 20, 2018.

At 87 and struggling with dementia Bud’s social circle had grown small, even so, his absence will be deeply felt. Bud’s home for the last 10 years was the Good Samaritan in Alliston. He arrived there by way of Riverside Drive in Windsor Ontario. When Bud first arrived in Alliston and he was able, he enjoyed going to Thornton for ice cream, driving the country side and the occasional trip to the dump.

John will be missed by Diane Bryant (the late Bev), Tony Bryant (Trish), Todd Bryant (Lori), their children Danielle and Ben, Cynthia Bryant, Judy (Jerry Boutette), Laurie Dagenais, her son Dylan, David Dagenais and his son Justin. Remembered by friends. Predeceased by his partner Ron Gamble.

If so desired, memorial donations in Bud’s memory to the Good Samaritan LTC Alliston would be appreciated by the family.

Cremation has taken place. Interment Victoria Memorial Gardens, Windsor, On.

Arrangements entrusted to Drury Funeral Centre 705-435-3535.
