Quite simply, one in a million. Rick was so much more than an Uncle to me. When my Dad (Ricks brother David) passed away suddenly years ago, Rick was an amazing support for me in a such a difficult time in my life. Rick was always there for me and filled some of the void left by loosing my Dad.

I have so many great memories of Rick. He had a habit of just turning up to visit us in England. We never knew he was coming, he just appeared 😀. As a young boy it was so cool to have an Uncle who lived in Canada.

Some of my fondest memories of Rick was when I went on road with him for a few days when he was driving his van all over Canada and the States. I got to see some beautiful places and spent some wonderful time with Rick.

I’ll miss our conversations on the phone when he was sitting on his ‘Chesterfield’. I miss the sound of the clock chiming in the background.

I’m glad Rick no longer has to suffer from that awful illness but the world is a poorer place without him. I miss him now and I will always miss him terribly.

Sad to hear of Rick’s passing. Remembering all the fun times Jim and I had with Rick and Shirley snowmobiling in Halliburton with the club. Karen Andrews

Although we lived in another country and we haven’t seen each other in the flesh for so long you were still so special to me. I was so lucky that you were not only able to attend my wedding, you also made what could have been a very difficult day a very special day. With your brother, (David) my dad, no longer with us you stepped up and gave me away. I couldn’t of asked for s better replacement. I will miss you so much😢 RIP Uncle Buck😘

God bless Uncle Ricky 🙏 May he Rest In Peace xo So sad to see him so weaken by cancer 😞 biggest hugs 🤗 to Kim & Sean and families my heartfelt condolences to you
So many wonderful memories of uncle Ricky teaching us to fish taking us hiking so many camp fires , movie nights at the campsite, wagon/hay rides, riding in the canoe to to fill with potatoes across the river in meadow Brooke lol , snowmobile adventures.
All the cool inventions he built or was working on. I remember my cousin Kim’s had the coolest bed he built her at Callowhill house and the cool laundry shoot in the bathroom. Who remembers that awesome fish tank he had in the basement. He was always dreaming of something to Make or work better.
I always remember him wearing cowboy hat , bolo tie with plaid shirt and boots
I used to think for the longest time he came from Texas not England aka Ranger Rick came about as he looked after Mansfield campground always with his big hat on Where we camped for many years with our families. Someone had to keep us under control lol he always had a big heart but sometimes had to put his foot down. We had so many great times with you uncle Ricky.

God Bless you Uncle Ricky
I love you
