Josephine Alma Barber
Josephine Barber passed away peacefully with family at her side on January 13, 2019 at The Good Samaritan Seniors Complex in her 88th year. Josephine was a loving mother to Dwayne and was predeceased by her husband Bill. She will be greatly missed by her daughter-in-law, Sonya, and her precious grandchildren Declan and Leyla.
Josephine spent her early years at Banda and Mansfield. She married Bill in 1955 and spent many happy years on the Barber family farm at Honeywood before she and Bill moved to the Good Samaritan Seniors Complex in 2013. She is survived by her sister Rogean of Baxter. Josephine will be fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, friends and neighbours who will miss her good cooking and hospitality. We all remember her saying, “Just have one more, it goes in a small space.”
A special thanks to the staff at The Good Samaritan Retirement Lodge and The Good Samaritan Long Term Care Centre for their tremendous compassion and care during the past five years.
