Suzanne Smith

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Suzanne (Sue) Barbara Smith of Alliston, Ontario on Saturday May 11, 2019. Beloved wife of the late David Smith. Loved mother of Kelly McCart (George), Kerrie Snyder (Richard) and Jeffery Charman. Proud Grandma of Samantha (James), Bobbie (Ted), Kayla (Brad) and Jacob (Jordyn). Great Grandma to Nolan, Ava, Faith, Jasen, Silas, Milena, Gabbie and Audrianna.
Sue was the eternal optimist and could see the best in everything and everyone. Family and friends meant the most to her and one of her favorite pastimes was watching her great grandchildren play together. She was an avid quilter and loved to travel.
Her work was very important to her as she used to say it gave her a reason to get up in the morning and kept her mind clear. She ran a bookkeeping business for over 30 years and had many clients for just as long. She thought of her clients as family and took great pride providing the best services she could.
We wish to thank the staff at Mathew’s House for providing amazing care not only for Sue but for all of us. A special thank you to Dr. Lester Afoo for helping us get through this most difficult time.
In keeping with Sue’s wishes there will be no service. Charitable donations on her behalf to Mathew’s House would be greatly appreciated.
Arrangements entrusted to Drury Funeral Centre, Alliston. 705-435-3535

Sue was such a kind, wonderful, generous person. Her positive outlook and unfailingly happy, easy going nature were truly inspirational and I am fortunate to have had her for a friend and neighbour; she was a real blessing to me. She was a very special lady and will be truly missed by everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. I will miss you Sue.
