LINDSAY, Gerald Russell
March 30, 1953 - June 6, 2019

Gerry, in his 67th year, is being mourned by his mother, Margaret Lindsay of Manilla and his siblings and their families: Sandra Hansford, Patricia Hunter, Judy Geley, Dorothy deJonge, Barbara Frank, Richard Lindsay, Sharon Rowswell, Daniel Lindsay, David Lindsay, Susan Stykel, Christopher Lindsay, with Arthur (Butch) Lindsay and Heather Mahon, both deceased, as is our father Arthur Lindsay.

Being the 8th child within his family of 14, Gerry has left us with many cherished memories of happy times, hilarious events and moments of pride. He used kindness and light-hearted humour to engage with family, friends and strangers, with a "let me help you with that" attitude towards all.

The many aunts, uncles and cousins within his very large family have also echoed our heartfelt sentiment "Rest in peace, Gerry", with his passing closely felt by his mother's sister, Dorothy Lawson and as well as the many friends within his neighbourhood in Beeton.

And, our utmost gratitude to the staff and volunteers at Matthew's House in Alliston, who, with immense kindness ensure his comfort, allowing Gerry to leave us peacefully, with dignity and grace. Cremation has taken place.

A Celebration of Life to honour his memory will be held:
Saturday, June 15th at the Kate Aiken Building (Rotary Hall), 72 Second St., Beeton, between 1 p.m. and 3 p.m.

Arrangements entrusted to Drury Funeral Centre, Alliston.

There was never a time that Gerry started a conversation without a joke! He brought light and humour to every conversation and it kept you on your toes, never knowing what he was going to say next. He was one of the first people that we met when moving from the city to Beeton in 2001 and have us a warm welcome. To Gerry’s family, we wish you peace in the days ahead.
Gerry, jokester, “Mayor”, you will never be forgotten. Fly high and keep them laughing.

Heartfelt condolences to my Nana, many Uncles and Aunts with Uncle Gerry's passing. I wish I could be there with you all to say goodbye but I will be with you on Saturday in spirit. Lots of memories with Uncle Gerry at family functions and when I lived in Beeton. He will be missed. xo

So sorry to Gerry’s family for your loss. I always enjoyed having a chat with Gerry when he visited the pharmacy. He was always very friendly and upbeat and loved to share a joke or story. Rest In Peace dear Gerry.

So very sorry to hear of the passing of Gerry. He was a good guy and always quick with a joke. I have many fond memories of Gerry coming into the post office and having a laugh with whoever was in the line at the time, and the days he and Bruce used to come in together. Sending my condolences to his family and friends at this time. Rest easy Gerry
