Uncle Don was so amazing to me, and all of his nieces and nephews. He definitely formed special bonds with each of us individually. Don was so kind and gentle, and oh so humorous. I always looked forward to seeing him. He was truly a special person and will be deeply missed. It is very sad to have to say goodbye to my favourite Uncle Don, but I am grateful for all the wonderful memories.

Don left a profound and positive impact on so many people throughout his life, including the Benattar family. We shall always remember his infectious smile, hardy laugh, humanity, quick wit, profound intellect, and loving nature. He was always generous with his time, imbuing in all who came in contact with him feelings of positivity, optimism and acceptance. He will be terribly missed but never forgotten. His memory and influence will continue to inspire us. Our prayers and wishes of healing and comfort are with you during this very difficult time.

I first knew Don as my dads work pal but over time we became family. As I young kid I would always know who to go to if I had any questions about the market and my future. He was beyond kind and knowledgeable, always giving his time to help others. Don, you will forever be in my heart and my families.

Don - everyone who knew him received great pleasure from his calming presence. He was a numbers guru. He was a great listener. He was an even better friend, and he was a trusted confidant to my father. He had a welcoming demeanour and a heart of gold.

His soul will rest in peace. I would expect nothing less because he was such a peaceful person by nature - selfless, devoted to his loved ones, and humble to the core.

Thank you, Don, for everything you provided for everyone over the decades. We love you and you made us all better people!

Our deepest sympathy, Sheila and the Nelson family. Don was a kind and gentle man. I have very good memories, playing with Don and his brothers at their homes in Caledonia and Hagersville when I was young. He will be missed at family gatherings.
Love, Terry and Louise Sweiger
