To: Gino, Debbie, Francie, Carla, Marco. I can remember many times our families together camping up at Earl Row park. Fun times, love and laughter. Dropping by the "garage" to say hello. Helping our families together. Your father and my dad were best friends. Fishing together, eating, drinking, backyard BBQs. Your mom and mine, laughing and drinking. Oh the fun they had. One thing for certain, they had great admiration and respect for each other. Our sincerest condolences to you and the family.

To my lovely bride Debbie, Carla, Francie, Marco, Gino and all the grandchildren/great grandchild. Remo/Nono was a wonderful man. I've always admired his courage from leaving Pascara, Italy at 16 and immigrated to Canada for a better life. Through hard work and determination, he gave himself, the love of his life Dorothea, and his five children a very good life. As a father-in-law I could not ask for better. He was extremely talented and creative in just about everything he did, and incredibly smart. One of his famous sayings was "never take a bigger step than your feet will allow you". That piece of advice rings true today. Although we have been in the USA for the past 20 years, Remo never worried about his daughter Debbie or his granddaughter, he knew they were in good hands. But he did miss us and we him. I have no doubt when God welcomed him into heaven, he was given a big hug of love, and was thanked for being a good man and a great father. Dorothea and Remo are united again. You will certainly be missed, but you will always forever be in our thoughts and prayers. Rest in peace Remo. All my love and respect, your-son-in-law, Perry

For the academic year 1974-1975 Johanna and I were at Osgoode Hall law School of the York University, just north of Toronto. My mother - Tonia van Wieringen - was a sister of Dorothy's mother, so Dorothy was my niece. We used our stay in Toronto to visit relatives and we went to see my aunt Mie and uncle Jan Majoor in Pickering and of course their children. We also visited Dorothy and Remo and their family more than once and remember the fine Italian food served to us, with as far as we recall all the children around and Remo's beautiful big impressive American car and his love for fishing. We learned of his passing away via Dortee Post - van Wieringen. Also sad to hear that Dorothy only recently has died, just 3 months ago. Although it has been a long time since we met - we returned to Holland in october 1975 - we do recognise Remo from the picture and we wish to offer our condolances to Gino, Debbie,Francie, Carla and Marco and the rest of the family.

Gino, Debbie, Francie, Carla and Marco - I am so saddened to hear of your dad's passing, as well as, your mom's recent passing. My thoughts are with all of you during this time. Although we have lost touch over the years, my childhood memories are filled with all you. May the thought of them resting peacefully together again bring your hearts some peace as well. My sincerest condolences.
