Delmar, Hugh, John, Ian & Families our thoughts are with you at this difficult time.
I have many fond memories of your mother and being at the Gallagher house. With all my siblings gone from home I made any excuse I could to go to Bob & Norma’s to play with the boys, and as a plus they had TV. Although I soon learnt that Norma being a teacher the rule was homework finished first before TV. I loved her vanilla pudding and she always made sure I was hiking over the hill to get home before dark
Norma had a nickname for me, I never remember Norma calling me William-Henry it was always Willie-hen unless she was introducing me to someone. When I was at a function in the Mansfield area and someone came up behind me and said, “How are you Willie-hen” I didn’t need to turn around to know it was Norma.
All the Ireland family will always remember how Norma was a special friend to our Mother and after our Mother could no longer drive Norma would drive to Everett and pick up Mother to go to church or other special events in Mansfield. Norma was a good neighbor and a true friend
The most difficult goodbye is when your loved one leaves, but the love she gave and the memories she left to so many will always stay. Our sincere condolences Willie-hen and Janet Ireland

To the Gallaugher family; I heard from Lynne Anderson of Norma's passing. Although it had been many years since I had seen her, I have treasured childhood memories of time spent in Mansfield and Alliston with my Ontario family. My mother was Lois (Anderson) McEwen. What a long and full life Norma had. Please accept my sincere condolences at this difficult time.

Our sincere sympathies to Delmar, Hugh, John and Ian and the entire Gallaugher family. We remember meeting Norma 22 years ago at the Fowl supper in Mansfield. Our youngest child was just 4 months old at the time and was fussing and crying during the wait for dinner. We were introduced to Norma and by way of a greeting, she held out her arms and said “Give me that dear baby!”. Our son settled right into Norma’s arms at once and stopped crying. She held him while we socialized and enjoyed a peaceful supper. We can only imagine what a wonderful Mom, Grandma and Great Grandma she must have been. May you all be comforted by years of good memories.

I have great memories growing up with Norma and Bob as neighbours. I remember many times going to Norma's for a visit, especially if she had any of her grandchildren there. She was a woman with a lot of energy, generosity, and laughter. My condolences to the family.
