Sally Kirkby

Passed away peacefully at her home in Egbert, Ontario, Canada Monday, February 8, 2021 at the age of 54.
Sally was born in Aden in 1966. Her father, Bill, was stationed there with the RAF and her mother, Pat, had accompanied him. She soon returned to Yorkshire where she spent her childhood and early adulthood. She met her partner, Richard, there in 1991. They lived together for over thirty years, moving from Yorkshire to Wales, then eventually to Canada in September of 2010. Sally always had a dream of living on a hobby farm and it was in Canada she was able to fulfil that dream. She was a huge animal lover, both with her dogs (the WolfStar kennel of sled dogs), but also the pigs that she rescued. She had a huge zest for life, enjoying dog powered sports, including dryland racing and sledding events. She was also an integral part of a husky rescue organisation and the Sleddog Sports Association of Southwestern Ontario. She is survived by her partner, her parents, her brother, sister-in-law, nephew and niece and the rest of her family. She will be deeply missed by all her friends and family.
If so desired memorial donations to Dogs Trust would be greatly appreciated. https://www.dogstrust.org.uk/donation/
Arrangements entrusted to Drury Funeral Centre, 705-435-3535.
